Short Summary

My name is Troy Couillard. I am an emerging theatre professional passionate about the future of theatre in this city. We are absolutely overflowing with brand new talent, eager and excited to get their work out in front of the eyes of the citizens. I have assembled twenty acts ranging from plays to dance pieces, poetry, social experiments, comedians, musicians and even an installation to showcase just what these artists have to offer. The festival will happen from July 22nd to August 2nd in the Motel in the Epcor Centre for the Performing Arts. 

 

What We Need & What You Get

What I need to make this work as smoothly as possible I need $3,000 dollars. This will be money used towards: rehearsal space, props, costumes and a small honorarium for the artists. Now ANY amount will be helpful and able to make this festival an enjoyable and successful experience. Additionally, extra funds will be used to fund next year's theatre season from Search Tower Company. 

 

Now, for your help there are perks. Perhaps free tickets might tickle your fancy. Nope? Your name in the program, maybe? Extra entries into prize draws free of charge?  Well, if that doesn't float your boat, how about the chance to hop up on stage and introduce a night of performances? Any of these things are up for grabs. All it takes is a donation.

 

The Impact

This project is important because the world is slowly becoming digital, not that there is anything wrong with that. But these musicians, writers, directors and artists still have a strong, fierce beating heart and because of their strength and bravery to put their work out into the world, they deserve their day in the sun. With your help, their day in the sun could let to magnificent opportunities for them in the future. 

 

Other Ways You Can Help

Now, there is more ways to help than just money. By spreading the word and getting people excited and interested in the project is worth its weight in gold. In addition to spreading the word over the city, we will also need people to help put up posters and help out during the festival with set-ups and such. Any amount of help that we can get will be considered a win.
